Mai’s hands were now inflamed and she was leaning forward staring Mako right in the eye, not even blinking. “I wasn’t saying you weren’t. I’m not saying for you to stop. I’m saying I can be friends with him if I want and it is none of your business if I am.” she hissed, she was on to good of a role to stop. “I will talk to him when I please, and if I do choose to stop, it will be my choice, not some protective fool” she hissed out again.

”I never said that you couldn’t be friends.” He raised an eyebrow. They were even now. ”They’re all your assumptions.” He muttered.
